Morgan does not need to carry any instrument to conjure magic. He also wears a handy seeing eye necklace that helps him look at the environment from a unique perspective when he gets stuck. He is usually seen with four "time" feathers floating around him, standing for past, present, future, and chaos states. Merlin's main instrument is a magical quill which he uses to write and draw special runes. Merlin and Morgan also both have their own unique powers stemming from their aesthetic. They often get into sibling fights but always find some way to pull through in the end and make miracles happen. While they are powerful, they are also rather fickle and petty characters. Both characters exude immense power, strutting around the kingdom with great pride. The root of Merlin and Morgan's designs was founded on the beautiful look of peacocks, but Merlin was combined with the owl's wisdom and Morgan with the butterfly's delicateness. Like how I paired the young and old Arthur aesthetic, I wanted to overlay similar aesthetics with these two characters. The next characters I designed were the magic duo Merlin and Morgan Le Fay. The young Arthur has a considerable amount of wisdom and strength, but he lacked a lot of empathy. This mark of the prophecy has made it Arthur's fate to become not just become a king, but the "Sun King," an ultimate ruler whose wisdom, strength, and empathy will guide Camelot to an age of glory.

One notable trait that has stuck with Arthur since he was born was a strange mark on his left cheek. Young Arthur hated dealing with paperwork and meetings and would often escape the castle to play "hero" in the middle/lower grounds of the kingdom.

While he did oversee the kingdom relatively well in his early years, servants and advisors sometimes found him difficult to manage. When he was crowned king, young Arthur was excited to exercise the power and prestige that would come with his newfound title. His default expressions are looks of cunning, pride, and boredom (or a little bit of everything).

I imagined young Arthur to be a quiet and calculating teenager. I chose a simple and noble-looking color palette for his royal highness. The first characters I designed were the young/old Arthurs.
